【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethoddescribesthedeterminationofinterlaminarfracturetoughness,Gc,ofcontinuousfiber-reinforcedcompositematerialsatvariousModeItoModeIIloadingratiosusingtheMixed-ModeBending(MMB)Test.1.2Thistestmethodislimitedtousewithcompositesconsistingofunidirectionalcarbonfibertapelaminateswithbrittleandtoughsingle-phasepolymermatrices.Thistestmethodisfurtherlimitedtothedeterminationoffracturetoughnessasitinitiatesfromadelaminationinsert.Thislimitedscopereflectstheexperiencegainedinroundrobintesting.Thistestmethodmayproveusefulforothertypesoftoughnessvaluesandforotherclassesofcompositematerials;however,certaininterferenceshavebeennoted(seeSection).Thistestmethodhasbeensuccessfullyusedtotestthetoughnessofbothglassfibercompositesandadhesivejoints.1.3ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
