【摘要】:Theamountofzirconiumdrierusedinoxidizing-typecoatingssignificantlyaffectstheirdryingproperties.Thistestmethodmaybeusedtoconfirmthestatedcontentofapureliquidzirconiumdriermanufacturedforusebythecoatingsindustry.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthetitrimetricdeterminationofzirconiuminzirconiumdriersusedinthecoatingsindustryandutilizesthedisodiumsaltofethylenediaminetetraaceticaciddihydrate(EDTA).1.2Thistestmethodislimitedtothedeterminationofthezirconiumcontentofaliquidzirconiumdrierthatdoesnotcontainotherdrierelements.Thetestmethodisnotapplicabletodrierblendsanddoesnotdifferentiatehafniumfromzirconium.1.3AllcationsthatcanbetitratedwithEDTAinacidmediainterfereandmustnotbepresentinthesample.1.4Thistestmethodhasbeentestedforconcentrationsof6and12%zirconium,butthereisnoreasontobelievethatitisnotsuitableforhigherorlowerzirconiumconcentrations,providedspecimensizeisadjustedproportionately.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:Thesemeasurementsgivesemiquantitativeestimatesforthegastransmissionofsinglepuregasesthroughfilmandsheeting.Correlationofmeasuredvalueswithanygivenuse,suchaspackagedcontentsprotection,mustbedeterminedbyexperience.Thegastransmissionrateisaffectedbyconditionsnotspecificallyprovidedforinthesetests,suchasmoisturecontent(Note2),plasticizercontent,andnonhomogeneities.Thesetestsdonotincludeanyprovisionfortestingsealsthatmaybeinvolvedinpackagingapplications.Note28212;Thetestsarerunusinggaswith0%moisturechanges.Interlaboratorytestinghasrevealedthatpermeancesmeasuredbytheseproceduresexhibitastrongdependenceontheprocedurebeingused,aswellasonthelaboratoryperformingthetesting.Agreementwithothermethodsissometimespoorandmaybematerial-dependent.Thematerialsbeingtestedoftenaffectthebetween-laboratoryprecision.Thecausesofthesevariationsarenotknownatthistime.Itissuggestedthatthismethodnotbeusedforrefereepurposesunlesspurchaserandsellercanbothestablishthattheyaremeasuringthesamequantitytoamutuallyagreeduponlevelofprecision.Useofthepermeabilitycoefficient(involvingconversionofthegastransmissionratetoaunitthicknessbasis)isnotrecommendedunlessthethickness-to-transmissionraterelationshipisknownfrompreviousstudies.Eveninessentiallyhomogeneousstructures,variationsinmorphology(asindicated,forexample,bydensity)andthermalhistorymayinfluencepermeability.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheestimationofthesteady-staterateoftransmissionofagasthroughplasticsintheformoffilm,sheeting,laminates,andplastic-coatedpapersorfabrics.Thistestmethodprovidesforthedeterminationof(1)gastransmissionrate(GTR),(2)permeance,and,inthecaseofhomogeneousmaterials,(3)permeability.1.2Twoproceduresareprovided:1.2.1ProcedureM8212;Manometric.1.2.2ProcedureV8212;Volumetric.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
