【摘要】:1.1.1Thisstandardshallapplytolaboratorybuildings,laboratoryunits,andlaboratoryworkareaswhetherlocatedaboveorbelowgradeinwhichchemicals,asdefined,arehandledorstored.1.1.2Thisstandardshallnotapplytothefollowing:(1)*Ifconditions(a)and(b)exist,thisstandardshallnotapply:(a)Laboratoryunitsthatcontainlessthanorequalto4L(1gal)offlammableorcombustibleliquid(b)Laboratoryunitsthatcontainlessthan2.2standardm3(75scf)offlammablegas,notincludingpiped-inlow-pressureutilitygasinstalledinaccordancewithNFPA54,NationalFuelGasCode(2)Laboratoriesthatarepilotplants(3)Laboratoriesthathandleonlychemicalswithahazardratingofzeroorone,asdefinedbyNFPA704,StandardSystemfortheIdentificationoftheHazardsofMaterialsforEmergencyResponse,forallofthefollowing:health,flammability,andinstability(4)Laboratoriesthatareprimarilymanufacturingplants(5)Incidentaltestingfacilities(6)Physical,electronic,instrument,laser,orsimilarlaboratoriesthatusechemicalsonlyforincidentalpurposes,suchascleaning(7)Laboratoriesthatworkonlywithradioactivematerials,ascoveredbyNFPA801,StandardforFireProtectionforFacilitiesHandlingRadioactiveMaterials(8)Laboratoriesthatworkonlywithexplosivematerial,ascoveredbyNFPA495,ExplosiveMaterialsCode1.1.3Thisstandardcontainsrequirements,butnotall-inclusiverequirements,forhandlingandstorageofchemicalswherelaboratory-scaleoperationsareconductedandshallnotcoverthefollowing:(1)Thespecialfireprotectionrequiredwhenhandlingexplosivematerials(SeeNFPA495,ExplosiveMaterialsCode.)(2)Thespecialfireprotectionrequiredwhenhandlingradioactivematerials
