【摘要】:Thisfire-test-responsestandardcoversasmall-scalelaboratoryprocedurefordeterminingcomparativeburningcharacteristicsofsolid-plasticmaterial,usinga20-mm(50W)premixedflameappliedtothebaseofspecimensheldinaverticalposition.Note1Thistestmethodandthe20mm(50W)VerticalBurningTest(V-0,V-1,orV-2)ofANSI/UL94areequivalent.Note2ThistestmethodandTestMethodBofIEC60695-11-10areequivalent.IEC60695-11-10hasreplacedISO1210.Note3Foradditionalinformationonmaterialsthatburnuptotheholdingclampbythistestmethod,seeTestMethodD635.Fortestmethodsofflexibleplasticsintheformofthinsheetsandfilm,seeTestMethodD4804.Foradditionalinformationoncomparativeburningcharacteristicsandresistancetoburn-through,seeTestMethodD5048.Thistestmethodwasdevelopedforpolymericmaterialsusedforpartsindevicesandappliances.Theresultsareintendedtoserveasapreliminaryindicationoftheiracceptabilitywithrespecttoflammabilityforaparticularapplication.Thefinalacceptanceofthematerialisdependentuponitsuseincompleteequipmentthatconformswiththestandardsapplicabletosuchequipment.Theclassificationsystemdescribedintheappendixisintendedforqualityassuranceandthepreselectionofcomponentmaterialsforproducts.Itispossiblethatthistestisapplicabletononmetallicmaterialsotherthanplastics.Suchapplicationisoutsidethescopeofthistechnicalcommittee.Thistestmethoddoesnotcoverplasticswhenusedforbuildingconstruction,finishingorcontentssuchaswallandfloorcoverings,furnishings,decorativeobjectsetc.Inaddition,thefireresistance(intermsofanhourlyrating),flamespread,smokecharacterizationandheatreleaseratearenotevaluatedbythistest.Otherfiretestsexistandshallbeusedtoevaluatetheflammabilityofmaterialsintheseintendedenduseproductconfiguration.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thisstandardisusedtomeasureanddescribetheresponseofmaterials,products,orassembliestoheatandflameundercontrolledconditions,butdoesnotbyitselfincorporateallfactorsrequiredforfirehazardorfireriskassessmentofthematerials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
